This is it — the final run of the 2026 WNBA regular season. Every team has four games left before the playoffs open on September 27, and the eight-team field has been locked in since late August. That splits tonight's five games into two different kinds of basketball: Atlanta, Washington, Dallas, and Las Vegas are still jockeying for playoff position, while Connecticut, Chicago, the Sparks, Phoenix, Portland, and Seattle are playing out the string. The wild card the rest of the way is rotations — clinched teams may ease up on starters' minutes down the stretch, and eliminated teams have more incentive to see what their younger players can do. Marina Mabrey has already been shut down for the season, and Nneka Ogwumike is playing out her final handful of regular-season games before retiring.
