The Week in Brief
Attack of the Vine! joins our coverage this edition. The set cleared our 90-day gate with the 21 October cutoff, so 20 more chase cards are in the numbers (232 tracked, up from 212), and they arrived on the downside: 19 of the set's 20 chase cards fell this week, median -3.25%, and three land in the top ten. Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse – Adventuring Duo, the card we've watched from outside the gate since edition zero, is one of the decliners. It slid 3.7% to $420.73, the bottom of its 30-day range.
It isn't only the new set. Hyperia City prereleased on 16 October and goes wide today, and of the 212 cards we tracked last week, 52% fell this week, up from 40%. Across all 232 it's 56%. Sixty cards cleared the movers bar, the most of any edition so far (47 without the new set), and 53 of the 60 went down.
There are two readings, and the data doesn't choose between them. One is release timing: with Hyperia City's prerelease behind us and its wide release today, some collectors may be moving attention and cash to the new set. The other is a continuation of the drift we've seen since September, when the share of cards declining ran between 39% and 56% in every earlier edition. A single week can't separate the two.
Wilds Unknown had its worst week yet by count: 19 of its 20 chase cards fell (edition zero was 18), though the median move of -0.9% is far milder than edition zero's -3.0%. Two Wilds Unknown cards are on the board, Syndrome and Touch the Sky.
Recent names, quickly. Freeze the Vine ended its flat run and rose 4.7% to $173.15. Stitch – Experiment 626 kept climbing, up 3.4% to $487.92. Olaf – Happy Passenger's flat spell is over: it left $97.20 on 16 October and closed at $93.74. Minnie Mouse – Sweetheart Princess is unchanged at $3,083.33, nineteen straight closes now. And Eeyore, which finally ticked up on 16 October, gave it all back and more; he's in Early Signal below.
Era | Median card | Share declining |
|---|---|---|
Enchanted era (Sets 1–8) | -0.2% | 53.8% |
Iconic era (Set 9 onward, now including Attack of the Vine!) | -0.3% | 59.0% |
The set-by-set picture for the Iconic era:
Set | Median move | Share declining |
|---|---|---|
Attack of the Vine! | -3.25% | 95% (19 of 20) |
Wilds Unknown | -0.9% | 95% (19 of 20) |
Every other Iconic-era set | 0.0% | 35% (21 of 60) |
Sixteen of the qualifying cards moved at least 5% this week, up from three last edition.

Why It Moved
The story behind each of the ten, or an admission there isn't one. Where we could find one, it's named; this week we found none, so every entry says so.
1. Donald Duck - Flustered Sorcerer
Catalyst: none identified
$153.30 for the first three closes, then a staircase up: $165.23 on 17 October, $177.07 on the 19th, $178.25 on the 21st. Over thirty days it's +26.0% with all five of its repricings up. It's the card that tells opponents they need 25 lore to win, and we found no tournament result or reveal that explains the run.
2. Maleficent & Diablo - Evil Incarnate
Catalyst: none identified
Its first week in coverage: $122.41, $120.97 for two closes, $119.88, $115.72 for two closes, $111.72, and $110.78 at the close. It's -23.2% over thirty days and at the bottom of its 30-day range.
3. The Glass Slipper
Catalyst: none identified
Four steps down, each held for two closes: $89.09, $87.12, $82.98, $82.52. Archazia's Island's weakest card this week, in a set that also produced the week's biggest gainer.
4. Raging Storm
Catalyst: none identified
$248.38 for two closes, $241.38, $231.73 for three closes, then $230.91 and $230.23.
5. Carl Fredricksen & Russell - Intrepid Explorers
Catalyst: none identified
$107.12, $106.16 for two closes, $103.82 for two, $101.43 for two, then $99.35 at the close. The second Attack of the Vine! card on the board.
6. Syndrome - Out for Revenge
Catalyst: none identified
$106.99 for two closes, $105.97, $103.45 for three, $103.19, then $99.70 on the last day. Wilds Unknown's weakest card this week.
7. Captain Hook - The Pirate King
Catalyst: none identified
A choppier climb: $106.47, up to $110.02 for two closes, back to $108.10 for two, then $108.44, $112.02 and $113.50 at the close.
8. Dash Parr & Violet Parr - Super Siblings
Catalyst: none identified
$80.54, $79.53 for two closes, $78.48 for two, then $75.42 for the last three. The third Attack of the Vine! card on the board.
9. Touch the Sky
Catalyst: none identified
Flat at $84.99 for six closes, then $81.12 on 20 October and $79.63 on the 21st. It was on edition zero's board at $90.26.
10. Piglet - Sturdy Swordsman
Catalyst: none identified
A staircase up, one step every other close: $71.94, $73.14, $74.38, $75.87, $76.34. Ursula's Return's best performer this week.
What we held out
Nothing failed to refresh this week and nothing was held as unconfirmed. 10 cards were stopped by the artifact guard (one day carrying at least 75% of the week's move). Four are worth naming: The Sword of Shan Yu (+16.6%, mostly one step on 18 October), Mickey Mouse – Inspirational Warrior (+12.3%, a single jump on 20 October), Eeyore – In the Way (-7.9%), and Pride Lands – Pride Rock (-7.1%, mostly one step on 20 October), which would have been a third straight board appearance. Mickey Mouse – Inspirational Warrior and Eeyore are in Early Signal below.
The short version of our rules
Chase tier only (Enchanted and Iconic), $10 price floor, at least a 2% move that actually went somewhere rather than churned, confirmed by a later price change if one day carried most of it, no sealed product, nothing under 90 days old. Coverage is 232 chase-tier cards across 13 main sets, The First Chapter through Attack of the Vine!. Hyperia City enters once it's 90 days old. Full methodology lives on our how-it-works page.
This is a pricing publication describing observed secondary-market activity for collectible trading cards. It's not investment or financial advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or grade anything. Trading cards are collectibles, not securities — prices move, and past movement doesn't predict future movement.
Early Signal
Three cards worth watching: one that jumped 12% in a single day, one that finally ticked up and then fell harder, and the Attack of the Vine! card we've tracked since edition zero, now in coverage and slipping. Included with Tome Intel and above.
