A week ago, this looked like a real measuring-stick game. By kickoff it was a backup quarterback's stage, and Case Keenum made the most of it: his first regular-season action since 2023 turned into two passing touchdowns, a rushing score, and a 27-7 rout of an Eagles team that never found its footing. Here's how it went down, plus a look at how the card and the season-to-date record held up.

Philadelphia Eagles 7, Chicago Bears 27

With Caleb Williams sidelined by a hamstring strain, Keenum opened the scoring on an 8-yard touchdown to Luther Burden in the first quarter and never let Chicago's offense slow down. He hit Kyle Raymond for a 41-yard score in the third and punched in a 1-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth, finishing 24-of-34 for 247 yards with a 110.8 rating and zero turnovers. Chicago also leaned on the run, with D'Andre Swift and the backfield combining for 128 yards on 35 carries, and the Bears controlled the ball for nearly 37 minutes.

Philadelphia's offense never got out of its own way. Jalen Hurts threw two interceptions and was sacked twice, finishing 16-of-26 for 153 yards with a 45.8 rating, and the Eagles lost a fumble on top of it, three turnovers in all. Their only touchdown came on a 1-yard Hurts scramble right before halftime. Chicago's defense also picked off two passes and held Philadelphia to just 248 total yards on 47 plays, a rough night for a team that came in 2-0 but unconvincing.

PHI 7 · CHI 27

The card had Chicago +3.5 as a Lean and the under at 41.5 as a Toss-up, built around a model number that still favored the Bears even after adjusting six points for the Williams news, plus a market that had shaded heavily toward Philadelphia. Chicago won outright by 20, clearing the number with plenty of room, and the two teams combined for 34 points, comfortably under the total. Both calls hit, and the side wasn't particularly close: Keenum's clean game and two Hurts turnovers did far more damage than the model or the market accounted for.

Thrown into his first regular-season start since 2023, Keenum was clean and efficient from the opening drive, spreading the ball around and adding a rushing score without turning it over once. It's hard to ask for more from an emergency starter on four days' notice.

Dud of the Night: Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia

16-of-26 passing | 153 yards | 0 TD | 2 INT | 2 sacks

Hurts and the Eagles offense never found any rhythm against a Chicago defense missing its best player on the other side of the ball, and two interceptions turned a winnable road game into a rout.
