NFL Recap | October 25, 2026
Twelve games, and two of the league's three unbeaten teams went down. San Francisco gave the ball away four times in Atlanta and lost 29-20, Kansas City managed three points in Seattle, and only Minnesota survived, on a 52-yard Will Reichard field goal with 1:39 left. Pittsburgh won the first regular-season game in Paris on three Chris Boswell field goals, Detroit beat Green Bay on a 22-yarder as time expired, and Cincinnati scored 35 straight points in Baltimore. Here's how it went down, every card graded, and where the record stands.
Boswell Kicks Three, Warren Runs for 101, and Pittsburgh Wins the First Game in Paris
Pittsburgh Steelers 16, New Orleans Saints 10
Jaylen Warren took the Steelers' first handoff of the morning 29 yards, and Chris Boswell's 28-yard field goal at 10:51 of the first quarter made it 3-0 in front of 78,488 at Stade de France. That held until the second quarter, when Tyler Shough found Barion Brown down the middle for 49 yards and Daniel Carlson's 38-yarder at 10:17 tied it. Pittsburgh needed six plays to answer: Aaron Rodgers found Warren for 26, then DK Metcalf deep down the left side for 51 yards to the 4, and Darnell Washington caught the 4-yard touchdown at 6:45, 10-3. Brown returned the kickoff 42 yards to midfield, and the Saints went 12 plays, surviving two fumbles at the goal line that were reversed on review, before Shough's 1-yard throw to Devaughn Vele at 1:45 made it 10-10. Rodgers drove 40 yards in 1:45 and Boswell's 47-yarder on the final snap of the half put Pittsburgh up 13-10.
The third quarter was two long drives. New Orleans went 14 plays and 68 yards over 7:28, and Payton Wilson ended it by picking off Shough at the Pittsburgh 11 at 7:43 and returning it 18 yards. The Steelers took the next 7:18 off the clock with a 14-play drive of their own, and Boswell's 39-yarder with 14 seconds left in the quarter made it 16-10. New Orleans drove to the Pittsburgh 37 early in the fourth, but a false start pushed Carlson back and his 52-yard try was wide right at 9:32. Chase Young sacked Rodgers at 7:58 to force a punt, Patrick Queen sacked Shough at 6:41 to force one back, and Pittsburgh took the ball with 5:52 left and never gave it up: 11 plays, 49 yards, a Boswell 37-yarder wiped out by a Saints offside penalty at 1:04, and two kneel-downs.
Rodgers was 19-of-30 for 212 yards and a touchdown without an interception, though he was sacked three times. Warren ran 18 times for 101 yards and Rico Dowdle added 41 on nine carries plus six catches, part of 148 rushing yards for a Pittsburgh offense that converted 10 of 16 third downs and held the ball for 32:03. Shough went 30-of-38 for 278 yards with a touchdown and the interception, Alvin Kamara caught seven passes for 57 yards, and Chris Olave had six for 56 on 10 targets. The Saints ran for 18 yards on 17 carries. Queen led Pittsburgh with 10 tackles and a sack. The Steelers are 5-2 and the Saints go into their bye at 2-5.

The side was driven by the trend and the matchup, and the matchup part held: Pittsburgh ran for 148 yards against a defense that had been giving up 4.8 a carry. The over leaned on four straight Steelers games going past the number and a Saints red-zone offense that had been scoring touchdowns; New Orleans reached the red zone three times and came away with one, and the total finished 16.5 short.
Bates From 22 Yards as Time Expires, After a Blocked Kick Gave Detroit One More Drive
Green Bay Packers 17, Detroit Lions 20
Green Bay drove 57 yards to open the game and got nothing: a delay-of-game penalty pushed Trey Smack back, and his 26-yard field goal was wide right at 10:26 of the first quarter. Detroit needed six plays to go 80 yards, Jared Goff hitting Amon-Ra St. Brown for 28 and Jameson Williams for 24 before the 16-yard touchdown to Williams at 7:00. Jordan Love answered with a 12-play drive and a 14-yard touchdown to Tucker Kraft at 0:58, 7-7, and Goff came right back with a 40-yard throw to St. Brown at 0:53 that set up Jake Bates' 40-yarder at 12:36 of the second, 10-7. The rest of the half was turnovers of the near-miss kind: Love's 13-play drive stalled on downs at the Detroit 13, and Jahmyr Gibbs fumbled at the Green Bay 6 with 30 seconds left, Isaiah McDuffie knocking it loose and Brenton Cox Jr. recovering.
Goff's aborted snap at 14:16 of the third was recovered by McDuffie at the Detroit 42, and five plays later Love threw a 25-yard touchdown to Josh Jacobs, in his first game of the season, for a 14-10 Green Bay lead at 12:14. Detroit went 80 yards again, Goff to Williams for 30 and then the 10-yard touchdown at 6:33, 17-14. The fourth quarter opened with Love called for intentional grounding and then picked off by Brian Branch at the Detroit 43 at 14:50. Green Bay still got the ball back and went 61 yards in 12 plays to Smack's 43-yarder at 7:10, 17-17. Detroit turned it over on downs at 4:50, and the Packers had the ball at the Lions' 35 with the game on their foot. DJ Wonnum blocked Smack's 35-yard try at 3:25.
Detroit then went 71 yards in 10 plays, all of them with the clock as the opponent. Goff found Sam LaPorta for 18 and a roughing-the-passer call on Karl Brooks added 15 at 2:45, Gibbs ran for 8 to the Green Bay 7 at 2:00 and for 8 more to the 3 at 1:08 after a false start, Goff kneeled at 0:27, and Bates made the 22-yarder at 0:00. Goff was 22-of-32 for 303 yards and two touchdowns without an interception; St. Brown caught nine for 153, Williams five for 91 and both scores, and Gibbs carried 29 times for 116. Love went 27-of-45 for 274 with two touchdowns and the interception, Matthew Golden caught six of 12 targets for 39 yards, and Jacobs had 36 yards on 11 carries plus five catches for 55 and the score. Detroit outgained Green Bay 415 to 324 and had 26 first downs to 17; Green Bay was penalized eight times for 81 yards. The Lions are 4-2, the Packers 4-3.

The side was the trend, Detroit's 1-3-1 against its numbers and the road team doing well in this series, and it came down to a 22-yard kick on the last play. The over was a Toss-up because Green Bay's games had been leaning under against Detroit's 5-0 to the over, and the under side of that argument carried easily: two missed field goals, a block, two red-zone drives that ended on downs, and the highest total on the board missed by 18.5.
Seattle Holds the Chiefs to Three Points, and Smith-Njigba Goes for 150
Kansas City Chiefs 3, Seattle Seahawks 20
The first quarter was four punts. Seattle then went 86 yards in 15 plays over 8:26, Sam Darnold finding Jaxon Smith-Njigba for 33 at 11:19 of the second, and settled for Jason Myers' 25-yarder at 8:22, 3-0. Nikko Remigio returned the kickoff 44 yards to the Kansas City 42, and Patrick Mahomes threw it to Ty Okada at the Seattle 34 at 6:09, looking for Jalen Royals. Ten plays later Darnold found Smith-Njigba down the left sideline for a 28-yard touchdown at 1:44, confirmed on review, 10-0. Seattle nearly scored again before the half, Smith-Njigba catching passes of 21 and 28 to the Kansas City 2 at 0:35, but Nohl Williams intercepted Darnold in the end zone at 0:23 and ran it out 65 yards to the Seattle 44. Harrison Butker's 58-yard try at 0:01 came up short.
Seattle took 6:51 off the third-quarter clock with a 13-play drive to Myers' 35-yarder at 8:09, 13-0, and Kansas City finally answered with Butker's 50-yarder at 1:42 after Derick Hall sacked Mahomes at the 32, 13-3. The Chiefs drove 60 yards early in the fourth and Butker was wide right from 45 at 8:38. Seattle then went 65 yards in nine plays, Emanuel Wilson running 21 yards off left tackle for the touchdown at 3:47, 20-3, and Kansas City turned it over on downs at 3:13. The Seahawks ran out the last 3:13 on the ground.
Mahomes finished 19-of-33 for 165 yards with no touchdowns and the interception, and Kenneth Walker III, the league's leading rusher coming in, had 36 yards on 14 carries against his former team. Kansas City managed 213 yards and 11 first downs, converted 3 of 11 third downs, held the ball for 24:09 and never reached the red zone. Darnold was 20-of-28 for 257 yards with the touchdown and the interception and was not sacked; Smith-Njigba caught nine passes for 150, and Wilson ran 24 times for 100 and the score. Seattle had 410 yards, converted 11 of 16 third downs and held the ball for 35:51. The Seahawks are 4-3, and the Chiefs take their first loss at 5-1.

The under was the matchup read, two strong defenses and two offenses missing pieces, and it finished 20.5 under the closing number.
The Rest of the Slate
Buccaneers 43, Panthers 13: Bucky Irving ran in from 4 yards at 7:22 of the first, and the second quarter buried Carolina: Chase McLaughlin's 22-yarder at 14:12, Calijah Kancey's 32-yard fumble return at 11:05 after Bryce Young was sacked, and Irving's 1-yard score at 3:53 and Baker Mayfield's 14-yard touchdown to Tez Johnson at 0:04 made it 33-6. Two Unbeatens Fall, One Survives on a 52-Yard Kick.
Sunday took the 49ers and the Chiefs off the list of unbeaten teams and left Minnesota alone at 6-0, by six points, after Will Reichard's 52-yarder with 1:39 left. Three games were decided by field goals in the final two minutes, Detroit's and Cleveland's as the clock ran out, and the kickers who missed decided them as much as the ones who made: Trey Smack missed from 26 and had a 35-yarder blocked, Spencer Shrader missed from 56 and 48, and Harrison Butker missed from 58 and 45. Cincinnati came from 13 down and Atlanta from 11 down to win, the Giants won in overtime on a 30-yard run, and Miami has its first win.
Star of the Night: Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati
22-of-30 | 292 YDS | 4 TD | 0 INT | 35 straight points after trailing 13-0
Jaxon Smith-Njigba's nine catches for 150 and a touchdown in Seattle, Tony Pollard's three touchdowns on 129 yards in a loss, and Jared Goff's 303 yards with Amon-Ra St. Brown's 153 all had a claim. Burrow was 22-of-30 and threw four touchdowns to four receivers in the second half of a game his team trailed by 13, so he is the clearer story.
Dud of the Night: Bryce Young, QB, Carolina
14-of-27 | 163 YDS | 1 TD | 2 INT | sack-fumble returned for a touchdown | replaced by Kenny Pickett
Patrick Mahomes' 19-of-33 for 165 with an interception and three points, and Trey Smack's 1-of-3 with a 26-yard miss and a block in a three-point loss, were in the conversation. Young's fumble became a Calijah Kancey touchdown, his two interceptions set up 10 more Tampa Bay points, and he was pulled in a 30-point home loss to a team that came in 1-5.
