NFL Preview | October 26, 2026
Week 7 closes with two 2-4 teams and a division race nobody seems to want to win. Philadelphia has lost four straight and is down to its backup quarterback, Dallas has lost its way on defense, and the NFC East is still wide open. Kickoff is 8:15 PM ET on ESPN and ABC from Lincoln Financial Field.

Passes Dak Prescott has thrown at Lincoln Financial Field without an interception, a record, per Yahoo Sports. He is 10-5 in his career against the Eagles.
Philadelphia is 2-4 and has lost four in a row, the latest a 25-14 loss to Carolina in which Tanner McKee made his first career start and went 26-of-45 for 215 yards and a touchdown with three sacks and no interceptions. Jalen Hurts is out with blood clots in his lungs and is reportedly done for the season, though he is expected to make a full recovery. Receivers DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) are both out, so McKee's top targets are Makai Lemon, Dallas Goedert (who expects to play through a knee issue) and a group of lesser-known receivers. Saquon Barkley is questionable but practiced fully Saturday and is expected to return after missing two games, and the Eagles ran for just 57 yards in the two games without him. Nolan Smith and Michael Carter II are out, and Jonathan Greenard (ankle) is a game-time decision.
Dallas is 2-4 as well, and the defense is the story. The Cowboys rank 32nd in pass defense DVOA, and Prescott has thrown four interceptions in his last two games, including two in last week's loss at Green Bay in which he went 34-of-54 for 258 yards. CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens are healthy, and the Cowboys get a pair of defensive starters back this week, while KaVontae Turpin (ribs), tackle Drew Shelton and linebacker Dee Winters are out. The Eagles' offense is scoring 17.7 points per game, so Dallas gets a chance to get right even if the pass defense does not.
Dallas wins if Prescott cleans up the turnovers and Lamb and Pickens work against a short-handed Eagles secondary.
Philadelphia wins if McKee keeps taking care of the ball, Barkley gets the run game going, and the Eagles' pass rush finally makes Prescott uncomfortable.
Lean Dallas -4.5 (Toss-up), and lean the over 43.5 (Toss-up).

Driven by the injury report. Philadelphia is 1-5 against the spread with its top two receivers and its starting quarterback out, but Dallas has one of the league's worst pass defenses and a quarterback who has turned it over four times in two games, so the side stays close to even. Dallas games are 4-2 to the over and the Eagles will need to throw a lot, which keeps the total a toss-up.
What to Watch For Monday Night.
Watch whether Barkley's return changes how often McKee has to throw, how Dallas's returning defenders hold up in coverage, and whether Prescott's record run at the Linc survives. That closes out Week 7. We'll have the recap Tuesday, with every card graded and the season record updated.
