Philadelphia Crosses the Atlantic Without Its Top Two Playmakers

Philadelphia Eagles @ Jacksonville Jaguars | 9:30 AM ET | NFL Network (London)

KEY STAT

0-4

Philadelphia's record against the spread this season. Jacksonville is 3-1, and the line has moved three points toward the Jaguars since the open.

It has been a week, even by Philadelphia standards. The Eagles dropped their second straight game with a dramatic loss to the Rams last Sunday, and now they make a six-hour flight to London with Saquon Barkley (hamstring), DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Hollywood Brown, edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, safety Marcus Epps and center Drew Kendall all ruled out. Landon Dickerson is on injured reserve, and the Eagles sent center Cam Jurgens to Baltimore on Wednesday. Over the last two weeks Jalen Hurts has thrown for 246 yards and the offense has been outscored 51-27. Tight end Dallas Goedert and linebacker Zack Baun are back, Will Shipley leads the backfield, and Dameon Pierce was signed off the practice squad.

Jacksonville is 3-1 and playing the way the Eagles aren't. Trevor Lawrence has a 111.2 passer rating with eight touchdown passes against two interceptions, and he is 12-2 in the regular season since last year's bye. Liam Coen's offense has converted 9 of 11 red-zone trips (81.8%), second in the NFL, and the defense beat Cincinnati 22-17 last week by forcing Joe Burrow into short throws. The Jaguars opened as 4.5-point favorites and now sit at -7.5 as the designated home team at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with safety Eric Murray doubtful.

Philadelphia wins if Hurts finds a rhythm with a rebuilt line and a thin group of pass catchers, and Vic Fangio's defense forces the turnover Jacksonville has mostly avoided.

Jacksonville wins if the defense forces Hurts to throw the way it forced Burrow to last week, and Lawrence keeps the red-zone efficiency going.

Lean Jacksonville -7.5 (Toss-up), and lean the under 41.5 (Lean).

THE CARD · PHI @ JAX

The line JAX -7.5 (-108) · PHI +7.5 (-112) · total 41.5 (O -112, U -108) · opened JAX -4.5 · DraftKings

This season PHI 0-4 ATS, 3-1 O/U · JAX 3-1 ATS, 1-3 O/U

Rest & availability PHI Barkley, Smith, Brown, Greenard and Kendall out · JAX Murray doubtful

Lean JAX -7.5 (Toss-up) · Under ↓ 41.5 (Lean)

Driven by the injury report. The Eagles are missing their top back and receiver and have a rebuilt line, which is why the number has already moved three points, so the side is close to even. Jacksonville's games are 3-1 to the under and Philadelphia's offense has scored 27 points over two weeks.

An Unbeaten 49ers Team Walks Into Lumen Field Without Bosa

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks | 4:25 PM ET | FOX

KEY STAT

Times Brock Purdy has been sacked through four games, per NFL.com, while tying for the league lead with 11 touchdown passes. Seattle held him without a touchdown pass twice last season.

San Francisco is one of three unbeaten teams left, and Brock Purdy is a big reason: he has 11 touchdown passes, one interception, and hasn't been sacked yet. The defense ranks seventh in yards allowed, but it takes a hit this week, with Nick Bosa (calf, knee), safety Marques Sigle and fullback Kyle Juszczyk all out and cornerback Upton Stout questionable. Mike Evans carries no designation after a limited week with his ribs.

Seattle is 3-1 and has been the more difficult place for Purdy than anywhere else. In three games against the Seahawks last season he threw two touchdowns and four interceptions with a 72.5 passer rating, and Seattle was the only opponent to keep him without a touchdown pass, which it did twice. The backfield is thin, with Zach Charbonnet out for the year and Jadarian Price on injured reserve, so Emanuel Wilson leads the group and George Holani is questionable. Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba carry the offense against a 49ers pass rush that has to find pressure without its best player.

San Francisco wins if Purdy keeps his protection clean against Seattle's secondary and the reshuffled front still disrupts Darnold.

Seattle wins if its defense does to Purdy what it did last season and the offense stays balanced without its lead back.

Lean Seattle -3 (Toss-up), and lean the under 45.5 (Lean).

THE CARD · SF @ SEA

The line SEA -3 (-110) · SF +3 (-110) · total 45.5 (O -115, U -105) · DraftKings

This season SF 3-1 ATS, 2-2 O/U · SEA 1-1-2 ATS, 2-2 O/U

Rest & availability SF Bosa, Sigle and Juszczyk out, Stout questionable · SEA Charbonnet out, Holani questionable

Lean SEA -3 (Toss-up) · Under ↓ 45.5 (Lean)

Driven by the matchup. Seattle's defense has had Purdy's number in recent meetings and San Francisco loses Bosa, which tilts the side slightly toward the home team, but an unbeaten 49ers team with an unsacked quarterback keeps it close to even. Two strong defenses make the total the firmer of the two leans.

Baltimore Brings a Backup Quarterback to a Falcons Red-Out

Baltimore Ravens @ Atlanta Falcons | 8:20 PM ET | NBC (Peacock)

KEY STAT

339

Rushing yards for Bijan Robinson over the last two games (194 at Green Bay, 145 against the Saints). Baltimore will be without Lamar Jackson and Trey Hendrickson.

Atlanta is 2-2, but the last two weeks have looked nothing like the first two. The Falcons have won back-to-back games by a combined 80-38, most recently 45-24 over the Saints on Monday night, and this is their third straight prime-time game. Bijan Robinson and Brian Robinson Jr. have combined for eight rushing touchdowns through four games, and Bijan leads the league with 376 yards on outside-zone and stretch runs. Left tackle Jake Matthews (groin) and edge rusher Za'Darius Smith (concussion, neck) are questionable, and cornerback A.J. Terrell is on injured reserve. Atlanta played Monday, so it has a day less rest than Baltimore.

The Ravens are 3-1 after beating Tennessee 24-18, but Lamar Jackson hurt his ankle late in that game and was ruled out Friday, the first game he has missed this season. Tyler Huntley starts for the 17th time in his career, and the biggest drop from Jackson to Huntley is explosive plays. Baltimore is also without edge rusher Trey Hendrickson (finger) and center Cam Jurgens (concussion), who arrived from Philadelphia on Wednesday, and cornerback Marlon Humphrey, receiver Zay Flowers and guard Andrew Vorhees are questionable.

Baltimore wins if Derrick Henry and the run game slow the game down, Huntley protects the ball, and the defense holds Atlanta's ground game below its recent pace.

Atlanta wins if Robinson keeps running the way he has the last two weeks and the Falcons' scoring pace travels to a short week.

Lean Atlanta -3 (Lean), and lean the over 43.5 (Toss-up).

THE CARD · BAL @ ATL

The line ATL -3 (-122) · BAL +3 (+102) · total 43.5 (O -110, U -110) · DraftKings

This season BAL 1-3 ATS, 2-2 O/U · ATL 2-2 ATS, 2-2 O/U

Rest & availability BAL 7 days, Jackson, Hendrickson and Jurgens out, Humphrey and Flowers questionable · ATL 6 days after Monday night, Matthews and Za'Darius Smith questionable, Terrell on IR

Lean ATL -3 (Lean) · Over ↑ 43.5 (Toss-up)

Driven by the injury report. Two of Baltimore's highest-paid players are out and the offense loses its explosive element, against a Falcons team that has scored 35 and 45 in its last two. Atlanta's surge is only two games old and its week is a day shorter, so the side stays a lean. The total is closer to even, with Baltimore's scoring expected to dip while Atlanta's has not.
