Jokić and the Nuggets Take On Indiana in Mexico City

Denver Nuggets vs. Indiana Pacers | 5:00 PM ET | NBA TV | Mexico City

KEY STAT

32-10-11

Nikola Jokić's line in Wednesday's 128-109 win over Toronto, on 13-of-19 shooting. Denver has had two days off since.

Saturday's first game is in Mexico City, with Indiana as the designated home team. Denver is 4-3 after a 128-109 win over Toronto on Wednesday, when Nikola Jokić had 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists on 13-of-19, Bryce Hopkins scored 18 and Aaron Gordon 17. Julian Strawther is out and DeMar DeRozan is probable with back spasms.

Indiana is 3-6 but won its last game, 107-103 in Memphis on Wednesday, with Andrew Nembhard scoring 22 and Pascal Siakam 20. Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring), Ben Sheppard and Johnny Furphy are out, and T.J. McConnell and Kelly Oubre Jr. are questionable. The Pacers have gone under in six of nine games.

The matchup is Jokić against Indiana's frontcourt, and Nembhard and Siakam against a Denver defense that just held Toronto to 109. Both teams have had two days off.

Denver wins if Jokić controls the game again, Gordon and Hopkins stay efficient, and the Nuggets win the glass against a thin Indiana frontcourt.

Indiana wins if Nembhard and Siakam keep carrying the offense, the Pacers push the pace, and they make Denver's guards defend for 48 minutes.

Lean Indiana +7.5 (Toss-up), and lean the under 229.5 (Toss-up).

THE CARD · DEN @ IND

The line DEN -7.5 · total 229.5 · DraftKings (spread moved 1 toward Denver from the open, total up 1)

Our number IND +6.3 · total 226.7

So far DEN 3-4 ATS · IND 3-6 O/U

Rest & availability DEN two days off, Strawther out, DeRozan probable · IND two days off, Haliburton, Sheppard and Furphy out, McConnell and Oubre questionable

The public 65% of tickets on IND · 80% on the over (SportsbookReview, as of Nov. 6)

Lean IND +7.5 (Toss-up) · Under ↓ 229.5 (Toss-up)

Driven by the number. Our number has Denver by about six, inside the book's 7.5, and the total within three points. Indiana is the designated home team in Mexico City, so the home-court edge in our number is smaller than usual here; both leans are toss-ups.

Cleveland Comes Off a 24-Point Win; New York Comes In Rested

New York Knicks @ Cleveland Cavaliers | 8:00 PM ET | NBA TV

KEY STAT

24

Cleveland's margin in Friday's 119-95 win over Philadelphia, the 76ers' second loss of the season. The Cavaliers are back on the floor 24 hours later.

Cleveland looked like itself on Friday. The Cavaliers beat Philadelphia 119-95, with Donovan Mitchell scoring 23 with eight assists, Evan Mobley 22 on 8-of-13 and James Harden 17, while LeBron James was held to eight points on 3-of-12. Cleveland is 5-4, and Saturday is the second night of a back-to-back.

New York is 4-4 and has had two days off since a 135-105 win over Chicago on Wednesday, when Jalen Brunson scored 33 on 10-of-17 and Karl-Anthony Towns had 17 and 12 without missing a shot. Josh Hart is out with an ankle issue. The Knicks have gone under in six of eight games.

The matchup is Brunson against Mitchell, and Towns against Mobley and Jarrett Allen. The line has moved a point toward New York since it opened, which says the market expects the back-to-back to matter.

New York wins if Brunson keeps scoring efficiently, Towns stays hot, and the Knicks' rest shows in the second half.

Cleveland wins if Mitchell and Mobley carry Friday's form, the Cavaliers' size wins the glass, and the back-to-back doesn't show until late.

Lean Cleveland +4.5 (Strong), and lean the under 225.5 (Toss-up).

THE CARD · NYK @ CLE

The line NYK -4.5 · total 225.5 · DraftKings (spread moved 1 toward New York from the open, total unchanged)

Lean CLE +4.5 (Strong) · Under ↓ 225.5 (Toss-up)

Driven by the number. Cleveland just beat Philadelphia by 24, and our number has the Cavaliers by six at home, while the book has New York favored by 4.5. Strong is the size of that gap, with Cleveland on the second night of a back-to-back.

Houston, 7-2 Against the Spread, Visits Phoenix

Houston Rockets @ Phoenix Suns | 9:00 PM ET | NBA League Pass

KEY STAT

7-2

Houston's record, both straight up and against the spread. Its losses came against Dallas and Minnesota.

Houston has had two days off since a 117-107 home loss to Minnesota on Wednesday, when Kevin Durant scored 21 and Alperen Şengün had 17, 12 and 10. The Rockets are still without both of their backup centers: Steven Adams (calf) and Clint Capela (ankle) are out.

Phoenix is 2-5 after a 117-104 win over Orlando on Thursday, when Devin Booker had 30 and eight assists, Dillon Brooks scored 24 and Miles Bridges added 18 and 13. Mark Williams is out, Jordan Goodwin is doubtful and Rasheer Fleming is questionable.

The matchup is Şengün against a Phoenix frontcourt without Williams, and Booker against a rested Houston team that has covered seven of nine.

Houston wins if Şengün controls the paint, Durant and VanVleet keep scoring, and the Rockets use their rest to pull away.

Phoenix wins if Booker carries Thursday's form, Brooks and Bridges give him help, and the Suns win the glass against a Houston team without its backup centers.

Lean Houston -7.5 (Lean), and lean the over 222.5 (Strong).

THE CARD · HOU @ PHX
