The Full Tier List
Disney Lorcana has grown from five rarities at launch to eight today, added in two waves — one at the very start, and two more at once, two years in. Here's the complete ladder, low to high:
Rarity | Introduced | Where It Sits |
|---|---|---|
Common | The First Chapter (Set 1) | The base of every booster; the bulk of any set's checklist |
Uncommon | The First Chapter (Set 1) | One step up, still a high print-run tier |
Rare | The First Chapter (Set 1) | Meaningfully scarcer, often where playable staples live |
Super Rare | The First Chapter (Set 1) | A real step up in scarcity from Rare |
Legendary | The First Chapter (Set 1) | The rarest of the "standard" five tiers, below the chase-card tiers |
Enchanted | The First Chapter (Set 1) | The original chase tier — alternate art, distinct foil, no gameplay difference from the standard printing |
Epic | Fabled (Set 9) | Sits between Legendary and Enchanted; introduced alongside Iconic, not before it |
Iconic | Fabled (Set 9) | The new ceiling above Enchanted — the rarest tier in the game |

The Original Five, Plus Enchanted
Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, and Legendary have been in Lorcana since The First Chapter in August 2023 — they're the backbone of every set's main 204-card checklist, and they carry the game's actual gameplay content. None of them are "chase" cards in the collecting sense; a Legendary card and a Common version of a different character can both be perfectly playable staples.
Enchanted has also been around since day one, but it's a different kind of tier entirely: alternate art, a distinct foil treatment, and functionally identical text to the standard printing of the same character. Enchanted is where collecting and playing diverge — nobody needs the Enchanted version of a card to play it, but it's almost always the version people actually chase. The First Chapter shipped with 12 Enchanteds; that number grew to 18 per set starting with Into the Inklands (Set 3), and has held at 18 ever since.
The Set That Changed Everything: Fabled
For eight sets, Enchanted was the ceiling. Then Fabled (Set 9, September 2025) introduced not one new rarity but two, simultaneously — a detail worth being precise about, since it's easy to conflate the two or assume they arrived gradually. Real, confirmed via Ravensburger's own original announcement and echoed across independent reviews:
Epic sits between Legendary and Enchanted — a real step up from Legendary, but below the chase-tier cards. It uses rainbow foil, a treatment that debuted in this same set and has continued in later releases like Whispers in the Well.
Iconic sits above Enchanted, as the new outright ceiling. It uses a distinct full-art treatment with a 3D hot-stamp foil and a shimmering lore-star effect unique to the tier. Every set since Fabled ships with exactly 2 Iconic cards, no more, no less.
The first two Iconic cards ever printed were Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Prince and Minnie Mouse - Sweetheart Princess — both from Fabled, both genuinely rare enough to have crossed the four-figure mark on the secondary market, a threshold only a handful of Lorcana cards have ever reached.
Chase-Tier Card Counts, Set by Set
How deep is each chase tier, really? Here's every Enchanted, Epic, and Iconic card released across all 13 numbered sets, from The First Chapter in August 2023 through Attack of the Vine! in July 2026.

Total | — | 222 | 90 | 10 |
Enchanted is by far the deepest chase pool: 222 cards since launch, after Into the Inklands bumped the per-set count from 12 to 18 in early 2024, where it's held ever since. Epic and Iconic are still young by comparison — 90 Epics and only 10 Iconics exist in the entire game, spread across the five sets released since Fabled.
Promo cards are the fourth chase category, but they don't follow this same set-by-set rhythm — they aren't part of any of the 13 numbered releases at all. Ravensburger issues them on a separate, ongoing track that spans several distinct pools: general Promo cards, Organized Play Promo, Magical Places Promo (theme-park exclusives), Cinema Promo, and Disney Cruise Promo. New ones surface year-round rather than four times a year like the main sets, so there's no fixed per-set total to report the way there is for Enchanted, Epic, and Iconic — the promo checklist is best thought of as an open pool that runs parallel to the numbered sets rather than inside them.
Real Pull Rates
Ravensburger has never officially published pull rates for any rarity. Community tracking across the catalog has converged on a consistent picture for the two collector-facing tiers:
Rarity | Estimated Rate |
|---|---|
Enchanted (any) | ~1 in 96 packs — roughly one per sealed 4-box case, catalog-wide consensus |
Iconic (either of the 2 per set) | ~1 in 1,500 to 2,000 packs — well beyond a single case; large-sample community tracking (192 to 230-pack samples, cross-referenced across independent sources) has repeatedly shown entire multi-box cases pulling zero Iconics |
These are community estimates, not official rates or guarantees.
What This Means for Collectors
Two practical takeaways fall out of this structure. First, Enchanted is a genuinely different kind of purchase than Iconic — at roughly 1-in-96, it's realistic to pull one from a box; at 1-in-1,500-plus, buying packs specifically to chase an Iconic is a lottery-ticket proposition, and buying the single directly is almost always the more rational move for a specific card. Second, "Epic" and "Iconic" are not synonyms or a single combined tier, despite launching together — Epic is a real but modest step up from Legendary, while Iconic is the actual chase ceiling. Treating them as interchangeable misreads both the rarity and the real market value gap between them.
